Privacy
The short version: this website sets no cookies for visitors and runs no trackers. If you sign up for early access, we keep your email and answers to contact you about LarderIT and to plan it. We don't sell or share them.
What we collect
- Early-access form. Your email address, the optional answers you pick, anything you type in the text box, which page you signed up from, and when.
- Email you send us. Messages to a larderit.com address, with your address and anything attached, so we can read and answer them.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, records requests to the site, including IP addresses, to run it and keep it secure. We don't use these logs to identify visitors.
We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or embedded third-party content.
Why we use it
- To email you about early access and the launch of LarderIT, starting with one email right after you sign up to confirm it.
- To decide how LarderIT is run and priced, using the answers from everyone together.
Who can see it
Only the LarderIT team. When you sign up, the team gets an email with your address and answers. The data is stored with service providers that work for us, all in the United States: Vercel (website), Neon (database), Resend (email to and from larderit.com addresses) and Google (the team's inbox). We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until early access ends and we no longer need the list, whichever comes first.
Your choices
To see, change or delete what we hold about you, email hello@larderit.com from the address you signed up with. We'll reply within 30 days. Signing up again with the same email also changes your answers.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep your address only to remember not to email it, unless you also ask us to delete it.
The LarderIT app
The app isn't released yet. As designed, your household's list is stored on your own PC, not on our servers. When you scan a barcode LarderIT doesn't know, the barcode number is looked up in Open Food Facts and UPCitemdb. The app will come with its own privacy notice before anyone can install it.
If we offer a hosted version, where we run the server for you, it will be a separate choice you make. A home installation never moves to our servers on its own.
Children
This website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. We'll email early-access members about big changes.
